Workshop
Troyan, on the northern edge of the Balkan Mountains.
Lilovi 88 was founded in 1996 and has made solid beech seating in Troyan, Bulgaria for three decades. The facility produces wooden chairs, bar stools and tables for wholesale buyers.
Lilovi 88 received European operational programme funding in 2021.
How it is made
Lacquered by hand. Detail no robot can reach.
Most volume factories run chairs through automated spray lines. In Troyan a sprayer holds every chair, turns it, and coats every joint by eye. Without the human hand, that level of detail is impossible.
Product range
The bentwood line. The solid-wood program.
The bentwood range covers Thonet-style dining chairs through bar-height stools, built in the Vienna tradition. These are the pieces the workshop is built around.
A solid-wood dining and table program sits alongside it.
Finishing
36 standard stains. Custom matching on request.
The stain shop holds 36 standard tones from Natural through Wenge. Finishing happens at the same facility as production.
Custom colours are matched to buyer RAL codes or physical samples. The confirmed tone is quoted before production begins.
Upholstery
Seats padded and covered in-house.
Upholstered seats are padded, stretched, and stapled in the same workshop that builds the frames. Each cover is heat-set and fixed by hand on the press, one seat at a time.
Vinyl and fabric programs run alongside COM orders. Buyers can send their own material and receive finished chairs from a single source.
